Zillertal Valley Ski area.

The Zillertal Valley Ski area has numerous resorts.   http://www.livetoski.co/

There is something for everyone.

No matter what level you are from beginner to advanced to expert you will find plenty to play in, in the Zillertal Valley ski area.

We start with the smallest resort which is called Fugen.

If you are a beginner this is the ideal place to start.

You come up in the lift from Fugen village called, “Spieljochbahn”.  You are met with a restaurant and some nice easy beginner runs.

just across to the left there is a small nursery slope area with a conveyor.

From here you can progress to the Poma lift called, “Mosllift” where you can get off about half way up to start with to practice your technique.

Once you get a bit better you can go down run no 5 which takes you all the way down to the village.

On this run you pass 2 restaurants.

The first one is on the right.  It is a small inviting place called, “Skihutte” which is ideal to have a mid morning coffee break.

Further down the run if you keep to the right onto run no 4 there is a restaurant on the left called, “Kohleraln” which is right opposite the half way lift station.

The food here is excellent.  I strongly recommend a dish called, “Fitness Tella”

This is succulent pieces of grilled chicken with salad.  Delicious.

If you have room for desert the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Custard is superb.  A specialty in the Zillertal Valley ski area.

There are also some more advanced runs in this ski area and you can spend all day here.

At the moment it is the smallest resort in the Zillertal Valley Ski area but there is talk of linking it to HockFugen and Kaltenbach.

From the top at about 2050 m there is red run 3 which is a beautiful romantic run.

Take the chair lift back up and you can then go down run no 1b which then links on to run no 5 which means you can ski all the way down to the village or keep to the right about half way down and go to the middle station or call for lunch at the Kohleraln as I mentioned before.

It is a small ski resort but one of the quietest in the Zillertal Valley ski area.
